Raw Vegan Cleanse (Day Four?)

Today is the fourth day we've been on the cleanse, but technically Day Five of the community cleanse. But we are starting the juice today anyway, today and tomorrow. We'll see how it goes tonight, we might just eat raw soup.

Had an amazing vegan mostly raw potluck last night with great lettuce and kale/spinach salads with lemon/ginger/coconut oil dressing, raw soup (spicy!), steamed green beans, coconut chia pudding, chocolate coconut balls, homemade sauerkraut, and fruit salad. And community! Yum.

Yesterday was easier than Tuesday for me, I think because I actually had places to be so I couldn't just think about eating all day. I had lots of nuts and dried mango to tide me over, seedless tangerines grown at the school I work at, and raw soup throughout the day. Then the potluck!

This morning we had smoothies with peanut butter (or cashew butter in my case), almond milk (soy milk for me), blueberries, blackberries, banana, pea sprouts, maca powder, and cacao, and I added my bee pollen to the mix (that I take every morning for allergies) with some cilantro (which was stringy, ew).

Then we went to Mateo's on Pico and Crenshaw on two recommendations now and ordered four HUGE juices for $5.75 each. We were so out of it it took us 10 minutes to figure out what we wanted to order. This one in the picture is beet, carrot, spinach, parsley with some onion.

I came home and juiced garlic, shallots, thai chiles (burned my eyes when they went through the juicer!), ginger and lemon which made a little jar's worth to use as shots. Added that to the juice and I feel good to go!
